Try Sailing at Telford Sailing Club – Beginners Welcome
Have you ever wanted to try sailing?
Telford Sailing Club is inviting local people to come and experience sailing for themselves at a special free taster day on Sunday 24 May 2026 from 10.00am until 3.00pm at Priorslee Lake, Telford.
The event is aimed at complete beginners and is open to both adults and children aged 7 and above.
Visitors will have the opportunity to go out on the water with qualified RYA instructors and experienced club members in a safe and friendly environment. All buoyancy aids and safety equipment will be provided, and no previous sailing experience is required.
The taster day is a great opportunity for individuals, families and anyone interested in outdoor activities to discover what sailing is all about and learn more about the club’s training courses and membership opportunities.
What to Expect

What to Bring
Please bring:
- Old soft shoes or trainers that may get wet
- Suitable outdoor clothing for the weather
- A change of clothes is recommended
